Edwin Haronian, MD, FAAOS on Instagram: "Why is the subacromial decompression step so important for the long-term success of the repair? The Mini-Open Repair is a hybrid approach! We use the arthroscope to clean up the joint and remove bone spurs from the acromion (decompression). If the tear is large, we then make a small open incision to use strong anchors and sutures to reattach the tendon firmly to the bone. This combination gives us the best view and strongest repair for complex tears. Foll
