Broccoli is a staple for us! IMO, it’s much less labor intensive than green beans that take hours of picking, snapping, and canning. Broccoli can be a bit tricky to grow, especially in warmer climates; but the harvesting and preserving are so simple. To preserve the broccoli, I cut it into florettes, blanch it for 1-2 minutes, cool it completely, then bag it up in Ziploc freezer bags and throw it in the freezer.
